Our Volunteers are the Best

Pictou County Lightning Club is now accepting Coaches Resume’s for our  Skills Sessions and Competitive teams for the Upcoming 2014/2015 season.  The club’s focus is to encourage the health and fitness of the youth in the county by providing the opportunity to learn and play basketball.  These are volunteer positions that will require some degree of time commitment for the coaches.  It is the club’s commitment to its coaches to provide training, in order to improve the capabilities of our coaches and the caliber of the coaching experience our kids receive.  The club provides basketball opportunities to Junior Mini, Mini, Bantam, Midget and Juvenile levels for both Female and Male players.

Please submit your resumes denoting the age bracket and gender you are interested in coaching to allan.floyd@pclightning.ca, by Wednesday September 8th, 12:00 PM.

Player Registration and Skill Sessions
Annual Membership Fee $20.00 (covers insurance and registration with Basketball NS)

Registration Location/Times
Saturday August 30th and Sunday August 31st from 1 to 4pm Pictou County Wellness Center

Skill Sessions
Skill session(s) starting on September 13th – included with membership!
There will be skills sessions provided, first round will be 5 weeks in duration, starting September 13th, and will be free to members.  This is a great way to kick start the season, get back into shape and develop some additional skills

Competitive Teams
Competitive teams will be formed from players attending the skills sessions and interested in playing competitively.
Club will operate programs and Competitive teams around the school season with limited activity during the school season.
